Psycho- Politics PDF

Psycho-Politics reveals that our natural favoritism towards ourselves and our families, coupled with a relative disregard for humanity and the planet, lays the groundwork for perpetual conflict. This is especially concerning given that we now possess the capability to destroy the planet—whether through bombs, environmental poisoning, or the strain of supporting 8.5 billion people. Imagine this as roughly 1 billion families, each investing their love, money, and energy primarily into their own. What this means is that 1 billion families are essentially competing for the world’s resources. It’s only a matter of time before this leads to consequences such as global warming, world wars, nuclear terrorism, and mass starvation. On a smaller scale, our families’ self-centeredness mirrors the way our leaders prioritize their own nations.

There are no binding laws or guidelines that enforce international cooperation. This raises critical questions about how our political and psychological systems are designed in ways that fail to safeguard the collective well-being of humanity and the planet. For true global survival and prosperity, a significant portion of our energy, care, wealth, and power would need to be dedicated to international cooperation. This would require individuals, especially those in power, to shift priorities—placing not just their families but also the world at the forefront.

Without this shift, the chances of survival are slim. It must become ingrained in our cultures that global well-being and survival are just as important as our own personal and familial interests. Only then can we hope to ensure a future for all.
